Experimento #1

In this troubled world, or more apt, in the Philippine society, there is a wide variety of people who we can classify according to his or her personality. Hypothetically speaking, (at this point, I am visualizing myself picking up a pair of glasses, inserting a pencil above my ears and assuming to be a genius) the people in the Philippines can be sorted out by the way they dress, the way they talk, the way he or she expresses herself with the clothes he or she wears, the music that they listen to, the food that they eat, the possessions they have at hand.

Now, what actually is the classification of the people in our society? According to Dra. Maricon Montajes PhD, (Ha-ha, I love pretending to be a genius. Too bad you can't do anything about it. Nyenyenyenyene!) There are 5 classifications:

1. Povertus – These are the people who in our society, cannot provide for themselves and those who are beyond the poverty line. (God bless their souls, seriously)

2. Mediocrus – People who are plain ordinary. Citizens who we see walking along the streets, oblivious of whatnot the others are doing, or whatsoever the others are busy about. These are the people who we happen to sit beside the jeepneys, who we see eating quek-queks along the streets. Mediocrus people are people who are contented with the jobs they have, of the status of their life, of their careers but deep inside they have this feeling of wanting more to explore, to go out of the shell. But due to the satisfaction and the contentment that they already have (or maybe because of fear of losing the stability of their life) they would rather choose to be inside the shell.

3. Numbinus – Numbinus people are people who really don't give a shit about what's happening around them. They really don't care if Manny Paquiao sang another single and what effect this song would give to the economy of the country. For as long as they are given their regular pay-checks, and are able to eat at least 3 times a day, Numbinus people won't really care who you are or what you are because they are numb on the outside, numb on the inside.

4. Artistatus – Artistatus citizens are people whose monikers are recognized all around. Whether the entity is an actress, a politican, a director, a stunt man, a professional Gilette Blade eater – for as long as you make shitloads of moolah. Welcome pare to the Artistatus category.

5. Coñosus – Ahh.. What can I say? How can I depict this strange, strange entity? Well, just picture Rachel McAdams on her character in the movie Mean Girls. Make the hair curlier; make the make-up a little bit thicker, the way he or she talks – combine English and Filipino. Let the person talk more about fashion, what's the latest, what's hot and what's not. Let him or her be a little vainer. Coños are people who are well, ahmm, and the most difficult people to decipher because honestly, I cannot understand them. But I love to sarcastically make believe that I am one of them. (Am I too evil? Well of course I am. Kidding. The truth is, coños are very difficult for me and I apologize for having such minute openness with this kind of people.)

(Friends, that is just the introduction. I’m not yet really beginning on my REAL post.)

What is my hidden rationale for creating such introduction? Well, I just wanted to try out a new experiment. I would like to see how I would sound if I acted like a coño. Let’s see how far I can go (and how far I can stop myself from shooting myself). I will begin by talking about the life I had this week. Experiment starts now.

Oh my god. The week is so nakakapagod talaga. I hate this na. I can feel that my eye bags are getting larger and larger every day. Kainis kaya, kase those projects and those assignments that are given to us are talagang mabigat. Hmp! And the teachers are so insensitive talaga, they think robots kami where in fact mga princesses kami. We should be pampered! Grabe. I’m hating this na. Hmp! I hate you na talaga ma'am.

Anyway, you know what girls? The week is alright rin naman kase you know, I'm in love kase eh. Hihihihi. And even though the duties given to us are soooooooo mabigat, its fine naman eh kase I have my homies and girls out there who will help me. I’m sure the burden will all disappear like a bubble. Bubbles! You know, bubbles are cute. Hihihi. Its so nakakaaliw to see them float in the blue sky and pop all of a sudden. Ang cute talaga.

Speaking of pop, I really want to pop all my zits na. It's so making my face dirty and unpleasant kaya. Its all because of those puyats kase. Ayan tuloy, my beauty sleep is sira. But I cannot pop them naman because that is a major BEAUTY NO-NO. (That's why mga sis, don't ever pop your pimples ah, it'll cause blemishes to our gorgeous faces.) Haay, I'll let the tooth fairy make it disappear na lang.

Anywho, I can’t wait for the weekend na talaga. I WANNA GO SHOPPING! I wanna buy that new pair of shoes I saw kanina while walking along SM. Its so cute talaga. I think I've seen that shoes sa magazine. Super. Its so beautiful talaga.

Oh shoot. Its 11pm na pala. I have to sleep na.
BYE, take care mah homies and mah girlfrendzz.

Oh shoot. I think my nose is bleeding right now.

Pag Ang Tao Nga Naman

Last Sunday, the Modern Dance Group canvassed for costumes for the DACS competition which was held last Friday. Out of 11 participants, we were ranked the 2ND. OH YEAH.

And while roaming around the slums of Uyanguren, the China Town of Davao City looking for costumes to wear, we were startled to see streamers that were displayed around the building and then exploded into laughter after reading these:
