Nagkahiusang Katilingban: KADAYAWAN BEYBE
This has got to be one of the BEST weekends in my entire life. EVER. Ok, I’m too bedazzled, dumbfounded, flabbergasted to talk about it. I’m just so happy because after everything that has happened to me – After I humiliated myself in front of the most important people in the school, my friends, and some of the people that I value most (PLEASE, I beg of you, just let me spare the details), when I almost lost the trust of the people that believed in me for a very long time, after almost slipping on the rope that I was exasperatedly holding on to, and when I thought that my all hope is lost, miraculously I was saved from indignity. Astounding turn of events followed and everything went to place. JUST LIKE THAT. Yeah, JUST LIKE THAT.

I seriously want to explain this to all of you, dear readers, in the most understandable and in the most logical narrative of the events that occurred, but oh my lordy, the words are stuck in between my gums and tongue! I badly, badly want to express this as much as I can, BUT OH MY LORD. I can’t. I’m on scarcity with words.

Now that much has been said about this INTERESTING turn of events in my shit-hole life, and by a twist of fate, THE KADAYAWAN FESTIVAL is up and is being celebrated. Its time to parteeeee!!!! Panahon na ng rakenrol, beybe.

First of, I loosen all the stress ties inside my over-fatigued body thru the supernatural powers of ROCK CONCERTS.

LET’S START OF WITH SANDWICH.

This is the second time I watched Sandwich play live. We arrived in the venue (USP) at about 6pm and bought tickets, made our way inside the line and entered. Woah, the place was crowded when we got in. And hypothetically speaking, I would have to say that the whole of the crowd was covered with:

1/6 of the fans of JOLINA MAGDANGAL
1/6 of the fans of CHRISTIAN BAUTISTA
1/6 of which are the sponsors and all those VIP shitheads (haha. I AM CRUEL)
1/6 of which are those people who didn’t have anything better to do but spent 50 pesos of Uniliver products
and
1/2 of which are rockers and SANDWICH fans, like me!

To sum them all up, it totals to one great helluva night. Well, at first it wasn't that great because I wasn't on the VIP seats (and if I was seated there, I'd call myself as a SHITHEAD to) plus Sandwich was the last set and I was to excited! Finally, Sandwich’s bus arrived and we wanted to approach them, we apprehended, but decided to go anyway.

We wanted to buy shirts from Sir Mike but sad to say, "Paubos na nga raw." Oh bollocks. But that was alright. I asked him to sign my 2 in 1 Sandwich Cd and Tugish Takish: Pedicab Cd. Sir Mike acknowledged my Cd’s and said that next time, he’d bring PEDICAB to play in Davao. Cool. I can't wait.

Next target: Sir Raims, Sir Diego, Ms. Maps. I asked them to ask my cd's and was even happier when Sir Raims agreed to sign my ERASERHEADS STICKERHAPPY! Oh yeah… oh yeahh.. Oh yeaaahhhhhh! I was so ashamed because I didn't realize that the person beside Sir Raims was DAN GIL of CHILITEES! Oh my lord. I was so mortified because I forgot that he was INDEED Dan Gil of Chilittes. Oh shit. Oh Shit.

As Sir Raims, Sir Diego and Ms. Maps were signing all my CD's, Sir Raims and Sir Dan were talking about something, (I think that was about my CD's, I think they were surprised that I had SO much Cd’s *this is just a guess you know* because honestly, I cannot decipher what they were talking about.) And then, Sir Dan Gil unzipped his bag, got something and spoke….

"Oh eto, sayo nah." I’m not so sure what the exact words were said, but, who gives a shit? HE GAVE ME A…. A…. GUESS WHAT?

CHILLITEES EXTRA RICE ALBUM.

OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOHHHH YEEEAAAAHHH.

And Sandwich hasn't even started playing yet. Oh, do I love this night or what?

Save for the security guards who dragged us out of the bleachers where the band was staying. And so we left, and sat on the ground and waited for Jolina Magdangal to finish her set.

And after her set….
Sandwich begins to fix their instruments. AND THERE WAS NO WAY I WILL WATCH THE SHOW with some stinking barrier blocking my way. So what did we do? We sneaked and sat on the VIP seats near the right side of the stage. Dun, na… RAKENROL HANGGANG UMAGA.
Sir Mong wasn't there. Too bad. Sir Dan took over him with his magical vintage synthesizers - which still was equally hot.

And another fulfilling deed for me, because I was starting to get pissed with the security guards, them always blocking our way, I decided to play with them a little. When Sandwich sang 2 TRICK PONY (I love this song) I danced in front of the security guard and I was pretending to be oblivious and as much as possible trying to appear so sabog so that they'll get sick of me dancing in front of them. And once again, it turned out to be a success. Oh yeah. HAHAHAHA. I love this night.

After the show, (which was obviously bitin) we rushed to the bleachers to get a picture of them, with us, and sad to say, they were escorted to the building (that I don't know what was called). We waited. And with a quirk Sir Mike went out and I asked him if we could get a picture. He answered yes and he'll look for his missing bag first. Ang bait talaga. Even he lost his bag; he still managed to take a picture with us. A million thanks to you and I hope you found your bag already.

So we left the venue after taking a picture with him with the biggest smile I had in my face. The biggest.
